Back east in the southern swamps of the U.S. It is common practice to hang glass bottles from trees, to keep bad spirits away. Mixing several trees together, Bald Cypress, Mangrove, and Sawleaf, I created my version of a Hero tree for 113b class. I really wanted to push the idea of the tree being intoxicated from absorbing the bad "Spirits" through the gesture of the tree and the twisted and stumbling roots.
